And to everyone who didn't: don't worry, I recently read a sentence from a list of "Things I've Learned" by someone I don't remember and it helped me make my peace with birthday-forgetters:
"There is a certain age when you should stop expecting other people to make a big deal out of your birthday. That age is age 11."
