A Tale of Two Cities

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Actually, most of the times were somewhere in between, but now that spring/summer has arrived in Montréal - wow, I feel like I'm in a different city! People are out on the streets! Everyone's relaxed and looks happy! The bars are crowded! I am definitely impressed, the atmosphere has completely changed.

While so far the primary instinct was to stay home and not set a foot out the door unless it was absolutely necessary, now I actually feel like going out, see the city, meet people and all that stuff! Of course, it helps a lot that school/exams are over...

So, yes, I have been going out, starting Thursday I spent a lot of time with exchange students, have been to clubs and bars and restaurants and generally had a good time. Tonight Annie and I are going to see a Cirque du Soleil show (yay!), then I'll probably hit the town later and it will all culminate in the big end of semester party tomorrow night at one of the University buildings!

Then on Thursday it's off to New York till sometime next week and then, my friends, it's almost over...Two weeks from today I'll arrive in Munich, at 5.30h in the morning (that's gonna be just great for my jetlag). But yes, I'm looking forward to seeing you all again! And I've definitely learned my lesson - Montréal in winter? No, no, no, no. Montréal in summer? Yes, yes, yes, yes.

Jawohl!
